A mother's love. A parent's pain. A lasting legacy.

Former TV anchor and "Evening Magazine" host Penny LeGate is publicly sharing a mother's grief and turning tragedy into a lasting legacy.

In June of this year, Penny's 19-year-old daugther Marah Williams died of a drug overdose after battling addiction and depression for years.

Former TV colleague John Yeager created a touching story on the Marah Project.

And here is Evening Magazine's story on Penny's tribute to her daughter.
